BRAINS UNY AND IIUM COLLABORATE IN BIOMEDICAL, ROBOTIC, AND AI RESEARCH

 

On May 30, 2024, the BRAINS Research Group of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) conducted a collaborative research with Prof. Teddy Surya Gunawan from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). This activity took place on the UNY campus and involved a number of researchers from both institutions. The collaboration focused on biomedicine, robotics, and artificial intelligence systems. The aim is to improve the science and application of technology in these three fields. This research is expected to produce significant innovations for the development of science and technology.

This collaboration is considered very important because it can accelerate the development of research and technology application in strategic areas. The Head of BRAINS Research Group (RG) UNY, Dr. Ir. Fatchul Arifin, M.T., led a discussion with Prof. Teddy regarding the opportunities and challenges faced. They also discussed various tips and tricks to accelerate research and produce quality output. The discussion involved various ideas and strategies to maximize research potential. The involvement of these two renowned institutions is expected to pave the way for wider international collaboration.

This research collaboration also highlights the importance of synergy between academics and researchers from different countries. Through intensive discussions and knowledge exchange, both parties hope to overcome various challenges in biomedical, robotic and AI research. Dr. Fatchul Arifin emphasized that this collaboration is a strategic step to advance technology and science in Indonesia and Malaysia. Prof. Teddy also expressed his appreciation for this collaboration and hopes to contribute more in joint research. With this collaboration, it is hoped that new innovations will be born that will benefit the wider community.
