On May 30, 2024, the BRAINS Research Group of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) conducted a collaborative research with Prof. Teddy Surya Gunawan from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). This activity took place on the UNY campus and involved a number of researchers from both institutions. The collaboration focused on biomedicine, robotics, and artificial intelligence systems. The aim is to improve the science and application of technology in these three fields.

Pada tanggal 30 Mei 2024, Riset Grup BRAINS Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) melakukan riset kerjasama dengan Prof. Teddy Surya Gunawan dari International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Kegiatan ini berlangsung di kampus UNY dan melibatkan sejumlah peneliti dari kedua institusi. Kerjasama ini difokuskan pada bidang biomedis, robotik, dan sistem kecerdasan buatan. On May 11, 2024, a team of students from the Electronics Engineering Education Study Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) led by Nur Ihsan Muadzin and consisting of Hendy Dwi Saputra, Enis Anjasti, and Intan Nafiis Julyana from the class of 2022 won the runner-up in the UNITY#12 Smart Device IoT competition. The competition was held at UNY campus and attended by various teams from various universities.

On April 23-24, 2024, two lecturers from the Electronics Engineering Education Study Program, Yogyakarta State University, namely Bekti Wulandari and Herjuna Artanto, along with Abdul Aziz Sidiq Tri Putra from the industry, participated as judges in the 2024 DIY Vocational Student Competency Competition (LKS) in Electronics held at BLPT DIY.
