On May 11, 2024, a team of students from the Electronics Engineering Education Study Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) led by Nur Ihsan Muadzin and consisting of Hendy Dwi Saputra, Enis Anjasti, and Intan Nafiis Julyana from the class of 2022 won the runner-up in the UNITY#12 Smart Device IoT competition. The competition was held at UNY campus and attended by various teams from various universities.

This achievement was achieved after the team successfully passed the preliminary and final stages. The team managed to steal the judges' attention with their innovation in creating an IoT early warning system designed to monitor river water levels as an anticipatory measure for floods. The system is designed to provide early warning to communities around the river so as to reduce the risk and impact of floods.

The team's success in this competition shows the ability and creativity of students in utilizing technology for real solutions. "We are proud to be able to participate and win this award. Our innovation is expected to help the community in dealing with floods," said Nur Ihsan Muadzin. This achievement is also expected to motivate other students to continue working and innovating in the field of technology.
