On April 23-24, 2024, two lecturers from the Electronics Engineering Education Study Program, Yogyakarta State University, namely Bekti Wulandari and Herjuna Artanto, along with Abdul Aziz Sidiq Tri Putra from the industry, participated as judges in the 2024 DIY Vocational Student Competency Competition (LKS) in Electronics held at BLPT DIY. This activity is part of the effort to prepare the DIY contingent who will compete at the national level, so that they are ready and competent in the field of electronics.

In their role as judges, Bekti Wulandari, Herjuna Artanto, and Abdul Aziz Sidiq Tri Putra were not only in charge of assessing but also responsible for preparing the questions that would be contested. They designed questions that were challenging and relevant to the latest technological developments, ensuring the participants could test their skills thoroughly. This collaboration between academia and industry aims to create a fair and high-quality competition.

The competition went smoothly with great enthusiasm from the participants. After the whole series of competitions were completed, the judges conducted a careful assessment to determine the winners who would represent DIY at the national level. Bekti Wulandari stated, "We hope this activity can improve the quality of vocational education in DIY and prepare vocational students to compete in the national arena with confidence." The active participation of lecturers and industry in this competition shows their commitment in supporting the advancement of education and skills of vocational students.
